Washingtonville — A relaxing pre-Hanukkah evening awaits participants of Chabad’s Jewish Women’s Circle: The group will be painting Hanukah ceramics in Washingtonville’s new “Hot Pots Pottery Studio” on Sunday, Dec. 11, from 7:15 to 9 p.m. Hanukkah will be celebrated this year from Dec. 20 to Dec. 28. Participants on Dec. 11 will have the opportunity to create a Hanukkah gift for a friend or for their own home, while gaining spiritual insight in to the power of the Hanukkah miracle with Chana Burston, leader of the Jewish Women’s Circle. Refreshments will be served. Couvert is $5 per person, which includes the program and refreshments. Participants may choose ceramic of choice and pay fee to Hot Pots Studio. The most recent Jewish Women’s Circle meeting, “Soup in the Sukkah,” was enjoyed by many women from throughout the county at the sukkah of Rabbi Pesach and Chana Burston. All enjoyed a cozy night under the stars, a unique soup bar and mystical perspectives into the holiday of Sukkot. Chana Burston played keyboard and led the group in traditional Jewish songs.
