Center offers sneak preview of The Celestine Prophecy'
Warwick Integral Nutrition Center for the Oriental Healing Arts will offer a special “sneak preview” of the feature film “The Celestine Prophecy” as part of its grand opening at 6:30 p.m. on Sundays, April 2 and 9. Based on James Redfield’s worldwide best-selling novel of the same name, the film chronicles the discovery of ancient scrolls in the rainforests of Peru. The prophecy and its nine key insights predict a worldwide awakening that moves humanity toward a deeper experience of spirituality. Millions of readers have passed the book from hand to hand across America. It stayed on the New York Times bestsellers list for over three years, was translated into more than 40 languages, and has some 14 million copies in print. The film tells the story of John Woodson, whose life is at a crossroads. Through a mysterious set of coincidences, he finds himself on an adventure to Peru in search of ancient scrolls, known as the Celestine Prophecy. Resistant at first, skeptical and unsure, he finds that every step he takes, and each person he encounters, leads him to a new understanding of life’s true purpose and his own destiny. Directed by Armand Mastroianni, from a screenplay by James Redfield, Barnet Bain and Dan Gordon, the film was shot entirely on location in St. Augustine and Ocala, Fla., and Costa Rica. An international cast includes Matthew Settle, Thomas Kretschmann, Sarah Wayne Callies, Annabeth Gish, Hector Elizondo, Joaquim de Almeida, and Jurgen Prochnow.
