Celebrating Agricultural Literacy Day

Middletown — Cornell Cooperative Extension will celebrate National Agricultural Day on Monday, March 20. This year’s theme, Agricultural Literacy, will include reading the story “Extra Cheese Please! Mozzarella’s Journey from Cow to Pizza” to elementary students. The picture book by Chris Peterson, with photographs by Alvis Upitis, will be read by volunteers to young students as part of Agriculture in the Classroom. Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County staff will assist Diana Lupinsky, Orange County’s Agriculture in the Classroom coordinator, in recruiting volunteers.
