WARWICK — Celebrate National Pie Day at Noble Pies in Warwick with, what else, a pie-eating contest.

This fun, family event takes place on Sunday, Jan. 26, at 3 p.m. The celebration includes pie-eating contests for children and adults, drawings for prizes, and samples of their products. The contest entrants must eat as much of one pie as they can, with their hands behind their back.

There is a 10-minute time limit. The contest is free to enter and the winners are awarded three months of free pies. Those attending will have a chance to sample baked goods and win prizes.

The event will be held at the Noble Pies Cafe, 38 Main St., Warwick.

Enter the pie eating contest by email: pielady@noblepies.com or by calling 845-986-7436. Download the entry form and rules at www.noblepies.com. The contests start at 3 p.m.

Noble Pies, owned by Leslie Noble and Tom Herman, started out in 2008 selling home-baked pies at a pie stand on the side of the highway and from their driveway. They moved their business to the current retail location, 121 State Rpue 94S, Warwick, in June 2010.

Their entire family is involved in operating the business. Support from other local businesses and the Warwick community have kept them thriving and expanding. In September 2012, they opened a cafe in downtown Warwick.
