Celebrate National Farmers' Market Week
Goshen The Goshen Farmers Market will hold a special musical concert, featuring Goshen local Evan Teatum, on Friday, Aug. 11 to mark National Farmers Market Week. The concert hours are from noon to 2 p.m. Teatum, a guitarist and singer/songwriter, has recorded with rock legend Patti Smith and jazz master David Amram. The Goshen Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors the Goshen Farmers Market in the village square, invites shoppers to have lunch and enjoy the concert. Vendors at the 2006 Goshen Farmers market are: Bialas Farms, Comfort Cream Line, Cooking Cleverly, Gardiner Eucalyptus, Grammy’s Garden, Happy Herbs Soap, Janet’s Quality Baked Goods, John Lupinski Farms, Milford Chocolate Company, Orchards of Concklin, Panzarella Foods LLC, Pennings Orchards, Picklelicious, Project Renewal Farm, Sand S O. Produce, Sweet Aroma Cheesecake, The Farmers Daughter, The Kitchen Gourmet, and Warwick Valley Winery. Other upcoming events include: “Totally Tomatoes,” Aug. 25; Labor Day Weekend celebration with live music, Sept. 1; and the “Halloween Hoe-down,” Oct. 27. The market is held rain or shine every Friday through Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Handicapped parking spots are available on Main St. near the monument.
