The Friends of the Orange County Arboretum will host their annual fund-raising plant sales at the Kosuga Greenhouse on Saturdays May 11, May 18, May 25 and June 15 from 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Bring Mom to the Saturday, May 11th “Mother’s Day Plant Sale” where she will have an opportunity to choose from more than 300 species of plants including annuals, sun and shade perennials, succulents, herbs, non-GMO tomatoes and an amazing assortment of blooming hanging baskets.
The following plant sales on May 18, May 25 and the new additional sale date of June 15 will offer gardeners a great selection of gorgeous, healthy plants grown in the Arboretum’s greenhouses under the care of volunteers.
At each sale you will find knowledgeable volunteers on hand to answer your questions and help you choose the perfect plants to beautify your landscape whether you are a novice or an expert gardener.
Customers will also be able to “design your own planter” with your favorite pots and window boxes by appointment only, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
To make an appointment, call Pat at 845-325-4718.
The Friends accept cash or checks only. All funds raised at the sales are used to help our “gardens grow” and to offer educational programs throughout the year.
The Arboretum is located within Thomas Bull Memorial Park and is most easily accessed from the Grove Street entrance to the Park off of Route 416. Just pull up to the motion activated deer fence to enter and enjoy.
