Calling all artists to Pine Island

    Pine Island - Art work highlighting the beauty and the bounty of the Black Dirt Region will again be featured at the Pine Island School Harvest Family Fun Night on Friday, Oct. 12. The focus will be on still life and landscapes that occur around Pine Island area. Now is a good time to capture the planting, the growing and the beauty of harvesting. All media will be displayed. Subject matter must be appropriate for family viewing. The program is sponsored by the Pine Island PTA and the Pine Island Chamber of Commerce. Organizers are seeking works by local artists, teachers and Warwick Valley students of all ages. That artwork may also be made available for sale, with 15 percent of the sale going toward the PTA’s efforts for its students. Opening night will be at the school on Oct. 12.
