Breast cancer benefit to be held April 28

NEW WINDSOR —Tickets are still available for the 15 annual American Cancer Society “Step into Spring” dinner and fashion show, to be held Monday, April 28 beginning at 6 p.m. at Anthony’s Pier 9 in New Windsor, with proceeds earmarked for breast cancer research. “Step into spring is a labor of love,” said Joan Pagones, who has the event since its inception. “A magical evening that brings together almost 1,000 women who unite to raise monies for a cure with an emphasis on hope and a celebration of survivorship.” Since its inception, Step Into Spring has raised over $850,000 to help support cancer research, as well as cancer education, prevention, programs and services for cancer patients and their families.
