‘Branded Depressed' author to speak

Warwick — Local author Sandra M. Rothenberger will speak at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, at the Albert Wisner Public Library in Warwick. Rothenberger, the author of “Branded Depressed,” has been diagnosed and treated as a bipolar depressive for the last fifteen years. The book recounts her journey from the onset of her illness, through the decline of her marriage, to her suicide attempt. The pages are filled with a straightforward narrative of a person caught in the highs and lows of life. Within her story, Rothenberger weaves information regarding manic depression and its treatment, and tries to explain the “new world” of therapy, psychotherapy and testing. She offers information to others who suffer with depression, and reaches out to assure her readers that they are not alone. As space is limited, registration is required.
