Bodles to present blues and rockabilly

    Chester —E’Lissa Jones & Friends and Marty Koppel will perform at Bodles Opera House, in Chester, on Friday, April 18. Jones, a singer-songwriter, guitarist, violinist, pianist, sang background vocals with blues legend Wilson Pickett (when he was touring with Ray Charles), Al Green and others. She plays violin in two string quartets and continues to perform her original material solo and with her backing band in the Hudson Valley. Koppel, a singer-songwriter from Vernon, N.J., performs Americana, rockabilly and R&B compositions. The show starts at 9 p.m. (Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for dinner.) Advance sale admission is $10, adults, and $12.50 day of show. HotFlash (formerly the Tulips) and the Hormones (Bodles All-Star Orchestra) will perform on Saturday, April 19. The performance features comedy and music with Maureen Morrissey, Cathy Johnson and Bodles owner-manager Patricia Mazo. The show starts at 8:30 p.m. (Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for dinner.) Advance sale admission is $29.95, dinner and show. Jay Ungar & Molly Mason will perform on Sunday, April 20. The duo will present acoustic country, Cajun, Celtic, folk, blues, and swing. Ungar and Mason run annual Catskill fiddle and dance camps and have a monthly radio show, “Dancing on the Air -- Live at the Linda” on WABC-FM.
