Bodles to feature two blues artists

Chester Blues artist Albert Cummings, who has opened shows for B. B. King about 25 times, will show off his guitar licks and vocal chops on Saturday, April 29, at Bodles Opera House at 39 Main Street in Chester. Guitarist-singer-songwriter Debbie Davies, who does blues in the John Mayall tradition, will share the stage for the 9 p.m. show Cummings, who also opened for Stevie Ray Vaughan, was so inspired by Vaughan that he still gets compared to the Southern blues rocker. The Massachusetts native has also shared bills with Sheryl Crow, the Neville Brothers, Susan Tedeschi, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and others. His latest recording is “True to Yourself.” Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $22.50.
