BOCES to hold Great New York Read Aloud

    Goshen — The Orange-Ulster BOCES School Library System is inviting the community to join in celebrating National Library Week at their annual Great New York Read Aloud. The event will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, at the Special Education Center at 53 Gibson Road in Goshen. Participants will be treated to a special appearance by Gina Tucci and Sheila Beller Yoshpe. The two collaborated on “Ripped-Up Poems,” a picture book filled with lively poetry and creative collages. Books and autographing will be available. Students from the Golden Hill Elementary School of Florida, Mechanicstown Elementary and Chorley Elementary of Middletown, Scotchtown Elementary School of Goshen, George Grant Mason Elementary of Tuxedo, and Goshen Christian School, will gather to celebrate the joy of books and reading. They will read and perform favorite selections from a variety of books, poems, and original works.
