Black dogs and cats in spotlight for adoption

Middletown — Adopt a sleek black cat or dog before Sept. 17, and Pets Alive Animal Sanctuary will take 50 percent off the adoption fee. Black cats and dogs make great best friends but are frequently overlooked for adoption, according to Pets Alive. Black cats and dogs ages four years and over are available for the "Back in Black" adoption event. All pets adopted from Pets Alive are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, and micro chipped.
