Bike safety training program to be held April 30

    THEILLS — The Hudson Valley Leisure Services Association will present a program on bike safety by “Bike New York” at its April 30 meeting at 12 noon at Camp Venture in Theills in Rockland County. “Bike New York” is a non-profit that encourages smart cycling by offering free, hand-on courses to cyclists of various abilities throughout the New York area. The program also trains and certifies cycling instructors and cycling educators to offer League of American Bicyclists educational programs in their parks, communities and schools. Speakers will be Rich Conroy and Emiilia Crotty, who run the bicycle education program. The cost is $15 to members and $20 to non-members. To register, call 457-4902. The Association is a membership organization for professionals from the municipal, commercial and therapeutic sectors of the leisure industry in Hudson Valley area.
