Beyond dogs playing poker
Pet portraits to be displayed at Harness Racing Museum GOSHEN Photographers Sue Akin and Don Fowler of Akin-Fowler Studio in Cornwall have been photographing pets for 25 years. The public may view their work at the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame in Goshen, starting with a reception from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 31. Images of dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and other four-legged creatures will be on display. Akin and Fowler will attend the reception to answer questions. Both have earned master’s and craftsman degrees from the Professional Photographers of America Association, winning many state and national awards along the way. Their photography has appeared on covers and ads in many national and international publications and their photograph of Rusty, the America Red Cross msscot, hangs in the national headquarters of the Red Cross.
