Bethel Woods welcomes Jimmy Sturr

Eighteen-time Grammy Award-winner and Orange County local Jimmy Sturr and His Orchestra will bring the best in polka music to the Event Gallery at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on Saturday, May 21, at 7 p.m.
Jimmy Sturr and His Orchestra has been named the number 1 polka music band in the country for the past 10 years. The evening will also feature special guest, The Four Aces and Chris Caffery from Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Jimmy Sturr and His Orchestra has more than 106 recordings; the excellence of these recordings has been recognized and rewarded throughout the music industry. The fact that Jimmy Sturr and His Orchestra is on the Top Ten list of the All-time Grammy Awards, has won 18 Grammy Awards and has received more consecutive Grammy nominations that anyone in the history of musical awards has made the music industry sit up and take notice.
Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI) has awarded Jimmy Sturr and His Orchestra its most valued award, the Commendation of Excellence, the only one ever awarded in the polka music field.
The Four Aces is an American male traditional pop music quartet, popular since the 1950s. Over the last half-century, the group amassed many gold records. Its million-selling signature tunes include "Love is a Many-Splendored Thing", "Three Coins in the Fountain", "Stranger in Paradise", "Tell Me Why", and "(It's No) Sin." The original members, responsible for every song made popular by the group, included Al Alberts, Dave Mahoney, Lou Silvestri, and Rosario "Sod" Vaccaro.
