Bethany Sonrise Singers present The Treasure'

Monroe The Bethany Sonrise Singers will present the dramatic musical, “The Treasure,” at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, and again at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 11, at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 21 Still Road in Monroe. Written and directed by David Angerman, minister of music, the presentation is an inter-generational story of love and forgiveness. The main character, Ellen, while grieving the death of her grandmother, sees more clearly how love is a choice that is makes daily throughout life. The tragic moment also reveals that she was adopted as a child by her parents, and that her grandmother had adopted her father years before. Ellen beholds for the first time that belonging to God’s family is the greatest treasure of all. She uncovers God’s immeasurable love for her, and God’s grace and forgiveness, through baptism.
