Beacon. Pianist Drew Petersen to perform Feb. 19 at the Howland Cultural Center

The Howland Chamber Music Circle is pleased to continue its winter Piano Festival with pianist Drew Petersen on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 4 p.m., at the Howland Cultural Center in Beacon.

Petersen is a sought-after soloist, recitalist and chamber musician. He has been praised for his commanding and poetic performances of repertoire ranging from Bach to Zaimont.

He is the recipient of the 2018 Avery Fisher Career Grant, 2017 American Pianists Award and the Christel DeHaan Fellow of the American Pianists Association.

Petersen is making his debut appearance in the Howland Chamber Music Circle series, with a program that features music by Corigliano, Chopin, Ravel and Robert Schumann.

Since 1993, the Howland Chamber Music Circle has been bringing world-renowned musicians to perform for Hudson Valley audiences in Beacon. Come hear chamber music as it is meant to be heard.
