Be hungry on May 16 for St. Stephen's second annual ‘Taste of the Town'

    Warwick - St. Stephen’s Parish and School will host its second annual Taste of the Town fund raiser on Tuesday, May 16, from 4 to 9:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit parish community education and programming. Last year 1,700 people attended, raising more than $10,000. This year, visitors will be able to sample fare from the following local restaurants and food vendors: Angelo’s Italian Ice; Applewood Winery; Barbeque Hut; Bellvale Farms Creamery; Carmine’s; Copperbottom; Demerest Winery; Frank’s Pizza; Freddie’s; Greg’s Place; Halligan’s; Iron Forge Inn; Janet’s Quality Baked Goods; Jean Claude’s; Landmark Inn; Lisa’s Cookie Shop; Maggie’s in the Alley; Penning’s Farm Market; Pioneer; Restaurant LaTour; Spring Street Market; Village Grill; Warwick Valley Winery; and Willow Cafe. There also will be live entertainment. John Ertl, an eighth grader at the school, designed the 2006 Taste of the Town tee shirt, which is available for purchase. At the event, restaurant fare is judged and awards are given. The entries will be judged on taste, presentation and creativity by Bobby Lerz, president of Hospitality Innovations, Inc., creator and designer of Goshen’s “Club Ontaroga.” Jonathan De Graw, St Stephen’s alumni and Culinary Institute of America student, will also participate in the food events.
