If so, conquer your computer and Internet fears in a series of free, hands-on computer classes. Basic Bytes is designed for first-time users. Learn how to use a mouse and how a computer operates. Basic Bytes is offered Thursdays, Jan. 4 and 11, from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Registration is limited to five adults per class. Cyber Savvy covers everything from e-mail to search engines to untangling the Web for new users. Proficiency with a mouse is required for this course. Adware, Spyware & Spam - Oh, my! Spam still comes in a can, but if you’re on the World Wide Web, it’s also packed in your computer. Learn how cookies, interactive content and e-mail containing code are allowing information to be collected from your computer in a series of free, hands-on computer classes. Adware, Spyware and Spam - Oh, My! will show you ways to protect your PC from these not-so-friendly invaders. Proficiency with a mouse is required.
