West Point — Eisenhower Hall Theatre will reunite two entertainment icons, Larry Hagman and Barbara Eden, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, appearing in A. R. Gurney’s “Love Letters.” The two were the stars of the television hit, “I Dream of Jeannie.” “Love Letters” is a portrait of two friends, whose journey through life is revealed through letters spanning adolescence, middle age, and maturity. Tracing the lifelong correspondence of the staid, dutiful lawyer Andrew Makepeace Ladd III, played by Hagman, and the lively, unstable artist Melissa Gardner, played by Eden, the story of their bittersweet relationship gradually unfolds from what is written - and what is left unsaid - in their letters. Eden is a leading lady of stage, TV, movies, radio, and records, with credits long and varied as an actress and singer. Her credits include the movie “Harper Valley P.T.A.,” a string of TV movies, and playing a great aunt in “Sabrina.” Hagman appeared in the movies “Fail-Safe” and “Superman,” and on TV’s “Dallas” and daytime series “The Edge of Night,” as well as numerous Broadway and off-Broadway performances. Seats are $36 to $40. Purchase tickets online through www.ikehall.com, call Telecharge at 800-233-3123, or visit the Eisenhower Hall Theatre box office on Ruger Road in West Point. Plan to arrive at least one hour prior to curtain. Shuttle buses are available from selected parking lots.
