Chester — The Good Rats, Long Island’s “rude” band, will play hard rock mixed with jazz and pop at Bodles Opera House in Chester at 9 p.m. on Friday, July 13. The trio has performed with bands such as Aerosmith, Kiss, Grateful Dead, Heart, Journey, and Springsteen. Admission is $20. For more information visit www.goodrats.com. The Soft Parade, a Jim Morrison and the Doors tribute band, will play Bodles at 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 14. Lead vocalist Joe Russo, who many say bears a strong resemblance to the late Morrison, formed the band in 1990. It has been called “the most authentic and realistic tribute band working today." They've played with the Doors’ original guitarist, Robby Krieger, and have mastered up to 50 Doors’ classics. Admission to the show is $20.
