Autism Move-a-Thon to be held Oct. 8

    MONTGOMERY—The Mental Health Association of Orange County will present an Autism Move-A-Thon Sunday, Oct. 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Thomas Bull Memorial Park in Montgomery. Participants will be able to run, dance, skip hop, stroll or roll behind a marching band with family and friends around a one-mile course. There will be bouncy castles, face painting and more for kids and a raffle and music for everybody. The event is to help raise awareness, understanding, and acceptance of Autism Spectrum Disorders. Proceeds will be used to provide stipends to individuals on the Autism Spectrum and will benefit autism-related programs offered by the Mental Health Association in Orange County.
