Astrophysicist Dr. Kevin Manning will discuss the size and scale of the universe, the stars and other celestial wonders at Albert Wisner Public Library in Warwick on on Saturday, Aug. 25. And any discussion about the size and scale of the universe must include a segment on Saturn.
WARWICK Albert Wisner Public Library will host astrophysicist Dr. Kevin Manning on Saturday, Aug. 25, from 7 to 9 p.m.
A former consultant with NASA, Manning will discuss the size and scale of the universe, the stars and other celestial wonders. He also will reveal the fiction and the truth about Doomsday 2012 and the impending end of the world.
Following the presentation, a powerful telescope will be set up for viewing the night sky (weather permitting).
Registration is required for this program, which is open to adults, teens and attentive children 10 years and up.
