Association holds annual Woodbury Open

Central Valley — The Woodbury Community Association will hold their 11th annual Woodbury Open on Friday, July 14, at Central Valley Golf Club on Smith Clove Road in Central Valley. All golfers are invited to participate. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch at noon, and a shotgun start at 1 p.m., and an awards dinner that evening. The fee of $175 per golfer includes golf, lunch, refreshments, shirt, and dinner. Awards will be given for: Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, and Hole in One Contest. Those who don’t golf, or can’t golf that day, can participate as an event sponsor at $100 a tee or green, $500 for lunch and cocktail hour, and $1,000 for the awards reception. The open is just one of the ways that the association raises money - by means of individual donations, corporate sponsorships, and fund raising efforts - to redistribute for the benefit of the community, including the Woodbury Community Association Scholarship Fund, Toys for Tots and the food pantry.
