Monroe —The Inner Broadway Theatre, at the Ananda Ashram-Blue Sky Theatre, in Monroe, will present “Time Wrap,” by Dr. Jayanti Patel, on Saturday, Aug. 11. The production is a collection of absurd comedy sketches that parodies our “crazy busy” obsession with time in the workplace, with family and with friends. It explores our fascination with gadgets and our loss of self. A zany cast of characters find their way through the Jungle of Time. “Time Wrap” was conceived and created by Patel, and was written by him and his ensemble. Patel has been the director of the ashram theatre for the past 25 years. He worked with Mahatma Ghandi for several years, wrote a book called “Ghandi, Chaplin and Me,” and was a recipient of the John F. Kennedy Scholarship in Theatre. Patel is an Indian actor, writer, and director, who has worked in television, radio and stage for the last 20 years. Admission is $15 for non-members, and $12 for members.
