MILTON — Arts Mid-Hudson (formerly the Dutchess County Arts Council) will present grant awards for 50 projects in three categories - Individual Artist Commission, Project Grants and Arts Education Grants - at an awards reception on June 25 at The Barn at Buttermilk Falls.

These awards are made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by Arts Mid-Hudson.

The 50 community-based Project Grants will receive funding in 2014, serving an estimated audience of over 70,000 people. Project Grants support the arts and cultural activities of non-profit groups, organizations and artists in Dutchess, Orange and Ulster counties. These include professional and community based arts activities benefiting the general public in theater, dance, music, film, video, literature, visual arts, historical and cultural activities, and the use of libraries and museums as venues for the arts. Project grant programs are designed to serve all ages and ethnically diverse populations from all geographic areas of both counties.
