Artist to offer watercolor demonstration

WARWICK-The Warwick Art League's Visiting Artist Series will present a demonstration of watercolor painting by Charles "Brandy" Brandenburg, from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, in the senior room of the Warwick Town Hall at 132 Kings Hwy. New Jersey native Brandenburg works in acrylics, oils, watercolor, and pen and ink. The artist, who signs his work "Brandy," is best known for landscapes and outdoor scenes. His renderings of the natural world range from depictions of salty seaport towns to rustic settings to stark mountain peaks to wind-ravaged oceans. Brandenburg studied art with the Famous Artists Schools, and at the Ridgewood Art Institute in Ridgewood, N.J., where he now teaches classes in watercolor and oils. He is a member of the American Artists Professional League, North Shore Art Association, New Jersey Water Color Society and North East Water Color Society. His work can be found in the permanent collections of the American Broadcasting Company, Perillo Tours, and Trump Plaza Resorts, as well as in numerous private collections.
