Art exhibit is compilation of Peter Cody's work
NEWBURGH — The exhibition, "Peter Cody — A Retrospective" is a memorial and celebration of life featuring an impressive compilation of more than 60 works by artist Peter Cody, including drawings, prints and paintings that track his career as an artist. This event is being held on Saturday, June 21 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. is free and the public is cordially invited to attend.
Peter Cody was an artist and long time resident of Newburgh, who maintained a creative practice and exhibited his art for more than 40 years. As an artist, Cody was well-known for his geometric iconography and economic use of color, value and surface. Working as a printmaker and painter, his art paid homage to the inherent power of symbolic imagery.

The exhibition is curated by Virginia Walsh, Director of the Safe Harbors Ann Street Gallery.
The Safe Harbors Ann Street Gallery is a nonprofit art gallery specializing in contemporary emerging and established artists. It is located at 104 Ann Street in Newburgh.
