Art contest entries to be shown at 1841 Courthouse
GOSHEN-Orange County Day is the fourth Sunday in June, but any time of year is good for living by its slogan: "Be a tourist in your own county." The 2005 Orange County Day Art Contest for Adults had as its themes scenic vistas, indigenous flora and fauna, historic monuments, and historic buildings. From Oct. 1 through 29, the Historic 1841 Courthouse in Goshen will host a show of works submitted as entries to the contest. Artists participating in this show include Sheila St. Lawrence of Goshen, Tom Spisany of New Windsor, Diane Roach of Cornwall, Pat Mohr of Central Valley, Joann Johnson Brown of Highland Falls, Pamela Parol of Warwick, Joan Kehlenbeck of Cuddebackville, Ruth Doty of Pine Bush, Peter Krobath of Monroe, Carol Galietta of Middletown, and Virginia Moore of Middletown. The 1841 Courthouse is located at 101 Main St. and is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. For more information call 291-2388 or 341-4891.
