April 7 public workshop to focus on building a dry steam bed/garden for Pines Nature Place

WARWICK — Builders from the Garden State Koi Pond and Waterfall Design Center will hold a public workshop to build a dry stream bed and garden for 3 Pines Nature Place at the Warwick Valley Community Center in Hamilton Avenue on Saturday, April 7.
The workshop, which runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. covers the topics of siting, excavation, liners, use of stone and boulders, maintenance, appropriate planting and water-supply options, followed by discussion and questions.
Organizers said this is an opportunity to learn directly from the professionals, get hands-on experience and support a community project.
This program is limited to 20 people and its cost is $65. Children are welcome, for free, to accompany their parents.
