Applewood Winery hosts its ninth annual 'BBQ & Blues Experience' July 29-30

WARWICK — Applewood Winery will hosts its ninth annual "BBQ & Blues Experience" this Saturday and Sunday, July 29 and 30, from noon to 5 p.m. each day.
• The event will feature Smokin’ Grate BBQ, a local favorite that will be offering up mouth-watering, finger lickin’ favorites such as brisket, pulled pork, ribs and chicken along with sides of mac and cheese, potato salad, baked beans and corn bread. Smokin' Grate special sauces also will be available.
• Don’t do barbecue? The winery's Cider Café will be open, offering applewood fired pizzas, savory cheese plates and more.
• The Naked Flock Cider Bar also offers a selection of small batch ciders on tap – Flights, pints and Growler fills. Special summer cocktails also will be available.
• No outside food, beverages or coolers permitted.
The performers• Saturday, July 29:Big Frank and the Healers
Big Frank is a traditional electric and acoustic blues musician known for his powerful vocals and bottleneck slide style.
• Sunday, July 30: The Dan Brother Band
Be prepared for an afternoon of blues, soul and rock n’ roll.
