Applewood Winery Hosts First Annual Music in the Courtyard Concert Series

    WARWICK-Applewood Winery will present the first annual Music in the Courtyard summer concert series, beginning this Saturday, May 15. Singer/songwriter, Sarah D, is scheduled to kick-off the series with her own mix of edginess and optimism. Sarah D has performed everywhere from coffeehouses to Carnegie Hall. This Saturday, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., area residents will be able to experience her acoustic flair for themselves. The Music in the Courtyard concerts will be free of charge. Also appearing later in the summer are The Mudbelly Blues Band, featuring their Chicago style blues, Trainwrecked, performing American songs about trains and the people who love them and Middletown native, Sarah Morr, who has quickly become known as the Hudson Valley's new music scene regular. Music in the Courtyard will draw to a close with a music festival, celebrating the tenth anniversary of Applewood Winery. Several bands from the area will be featured. It will be held on Saturday, Aug. 28. Tickets for this event will be $10 and can be ordered online. As always, wine-tasting will be available. Sandwiches and light seasonal fare will also be offered.
