Appalachian Uprising Band to perform
Sugar Loaf SugarLoaf Music is hosting the Appalachian Uprising Band at the Pavilion at the Lycian Center, at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3. The music is a mix of banjo, bluegrass, jazz and classical styles. Guest National Radio Host Carol Beaugard of WFDU and WAMU Bluegrass Country will be in attendance. The banjo sounds of artist Steve Lutke have been compared to the sounds of Bela Fleck and Earl Scruggs. Fiddler Travis Wetzel and jazz guitarist Keven Lutke also receive critical acclaim for their individual performances and their collaboration in Appalachian Uprising Band. Doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m. The Pavilion at the Lycian Center is located on Kings Highway in Sugar Loaf. Tickets are $25, high school students $15 by reservation or at the door.
