Annual Wassail party to be held at Baird's Tavern on Tuesday, Dec. 5

WARWICK — The historic Baird's Tavern on Main Street in the Village of Warwick recently returned to its original colonial era purpose as a tavern for travelers, including General George Washington, along the King's Highway.
And on Tuesday, Dec. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m., everyone is invited to celebrate the Holiday season at the Warwick Historical Society's annual Wassail Party at Baird's Tavern, just across the street from the Post Office.
The society is partnering with Adam Powers to continue offering this popular holiday event.
Holiday food and drink will be plentiful at the tavern.
And guests are invited to catch up with old friends and meet new ones as they sip on Wassail, a hot mulled punch often associated with Yuletide and drunk from a "wassailing bowl."
If Wassail is not for you, beer and wine will be available and there will be a cash bar for mixed drinks. And feast on delicious hors d'oeuvres specially created for the occasion.
Tickets to the Wassail party are $30 per person for Historical Society and Baird's Tavern members and $40 for non-members.
For additional information, to purchase tickets or become a member call the Historical Society at 845-986-3236, ext. 101.
