Annual BBQ and Blues Experience set for Applewood Winery

WARWICK — Applewood Winery is hosting its 5th annual BBQ and Blues Experience on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 2 and 3.

Local favorite Chumley's BBQ will provide the barbecue, including smokin' ribs, pulled pork or chicken and signature sides including corn bread making it easier to get every last bit of delicious, award-winning sauces.

Your ticket will include a choice of Chumley's BBQ, a logo wine glass and complimentary wine tasting in the Applewood Tasting Room. Plus the music.

There will be live blues both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s Music is The Dan Brother Band, an eclectic mix of blues, soul and rock and roll. Sunday’s music is Yasgur: Mellow down easy, performing everything from swing to Chicago to jump. Yasgur will fill your afternoon with the soul of the blues.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Advance ticket sales end Thursday, July 31. Go to www.applewoodwinery.com to purchase them.

The BBQ and Blues Experience runs from noon to 5 p.m., on both Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 2 and 3.

The Cider Café is open for lunch. If you don’t do BBQ, order a la carte. The cafe offers pizzas, paninis, savory cheese plates and much more. No outside food or beverages are allowed.
