Sugar Loaf — The Jubilee Multi-cultural Arts will present “Jubilee’s Cultural Journey”, a dance, music and art series featuring Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Dominican Republic, India, Mexico and Puerto Rico. This program represents a unique opportunity to meet native artists, learn about other customs, participate in dance, enjoy an art exhibition, sample foods and be part of a cultural experience in our own backyard. Jubilee was created to introduce and host dancers, artist, musicians and provide education in both traditional and contemporary multi-cultural and Latino art forms. For founder and President Judy Battista, what began with a passion to express and share her own native Latino roots, has extended to include other cultural and artistic forms. “By exhibiting our uniqueness, we see our similarities, and perhaps foster acceptance, tolerance and appreciation of one another,” observes Battista. Workshops on individual cultural contexts will be hosted by the Orange County Citizens Foundation, The Seligmann Homestead, 23 White Oak Drive, Sugar Loaf.
