America the Beautiful benefit concert for Hudson Valley Honor Flight set for Aug. 12 at Historic Track
GOSHEN — This year’s benefit concert for Hudson Valley Honor Flight is set for Saturday, Aug. 12, at Historic Track in Goshen.
Honor Flight is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing veterans with honor and closure. Several times a year the organization flies American veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit those memorials dedicated to honor the service and sacrifices of themselves and their friends.
This year’s concert will once again feature 18-time Grammy winner Jimmy Sturr and his Orchestra, with special guests: from “Saturday Night Live” actor, singer, comedian and entertainer Joe Piscopo; Chris Caffery from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra; Mary Kay Messenger from the U.S. Army Band at West Point; singer Doug Ferony; and M.C. Billy Terrell.
Also making an appearance will be the Hudson Valley Police Pipe & Drum Corps, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Color Guard and The Nam Knights of America.
