Albert Wisner Public Library to host film and then discussion Feb. 10 on the region's African enslaved

WARWICK — Long before the Civil War a battle for emancipation was fought in the area.
On Sunday, Feb. 10, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., the Albert Wisner Public Library will show the award-winning film "Where Slavery Died Hard," followed by a discussion on the hidden lives of enslaved Africans in the mid-Hudson region in the 18th and early 19th centuries, the issues raised and the documentary evidence of slaves in the Town of Warwick.
This free program is open to all area adults, teens and attentive older children.
