Albert Wisner Library is sponsoring nonviolent communication workshop on April 7
WARWICK — Missed the September introduction to nonviolent communication?
Ready to look at conflict in a new way?
Tired of disagreements?
Have more compassion in your life?
Strengthen your communication with others?
Then here is another chance: The Albert Wisner Library is sponsoring another introduction to Nonviolent Communication (NVC) on Saturday, April 7, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
NVC, or compassionate communication, is a new generation of human connection and peacemaking skills, developed by psychologist Marshall Rosenberg, that's changing the way we think about conflict.
NVC has been used internationally in political peacemaking efforts and is the only communication skills training and practice that spans the globe.
Come learn about this transformative practice, which is for anyone looking to improve their relationships with themselves and others - parents, couples, your place of work, your community, or if you are distressed by the divisive tone of some of the public and private conversations.
This interactive introduction, facilitated by a certified NVC trainer, will cover basic concepts and practices and will include open Q&A segments, as well as an experiential exercise.
To register for this free workshop, call the library at 986-1047 ext. 3, or register online at www.albertwisnerlibrary.org.
