The Friends of the Arboretum open Holiday Boutique on No. 24 MONTGOMERY — The Friends of the Orange County Arboretum will host their annual Holiday Boutique fund raiser beginning Friday, Nov. 24, in the Ottaway Education Building at the Arboretum in Thomas Bull Memorial Park.
The Friends will offer a variety of hand-crafted merchandise ideal for decorating and gift-giving, all hand crafted by the Arboretum’s dedicated group of volunteer “elves.”
The Boutique will be held in conjunction with the ‘Holiday Lights in Bloom” program on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays starting Nov. 24 and ending Dec. 17 from 5 to 8:00 p.m.
On the first weekend of Nov. 24, 25 and 26, the boutique shopping hours will be extended from 2 to 8 p.m.
The Arboretum is located within Thomas Bull Memorial Park on State Route 416 in Montgomery (enter Hamptonburgh for GPS directions) and is most easily accessed from the Grove Street entrance to the park.

Orange County to host Breakfast with Santa on Dec. 10 and 17GOSHEN — The Orange County Parks and Recreation Department will host Breakfast with Santa events at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Graham Skea Lodge at Thomas Bull Memorial Park and at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17, at the Hickory Hill Golf Lodge at the Warwick County Park.
Admission for each event is $15. Children five years old and younger will be admitted for free.
Both programs will feature identical breakfast menus and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Macaroni the Clown will provide entertainment and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department will be on hand to promote their free children’s ID program – Operation Safe Child.
The county’s annual toy drive for disadvantaged children, Santa’s Toy Box, will be collecting new toys during both events.
