Adult knitting classes

    MONROE — Knitting classes for adults, both men and women, are being planned at Museum Village. Three programs are being scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. “ Learn to Knit Socks” will be taught in four sessions. “Adult Beginners” will be presented in three sessions. “Learn to Knit a Sweater in One Piece” will be taught in four sessions. The cost is $45 per program. Extra help for class members will be available at no additional cost. Class size will be limited to 10 people, and registration is required. Kathleen Braun, the instructor, received her certification as an instructor from the Craft Yarn Council of America, and is currently working to complete a masters program for hand knitters. Museum Village, a living history museum, is located on Route 17M, four miles west of New York State Thruway Exit 16 in Harriman and directly off Route 17 at Exit 129.
