Academy Concert Band to perform at Eisenhower Hall

    West Point — The United States Military Academy Concert Band will present a concert at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, in the Eisenhower Hall Theatre at West Point. The concert will feature the works of two composers of the 19th century as well those of the “March King,” John Philip Sousa. The concert will include Richard Wagner’s “Introduction to Act III” from Lohengrin, Claude Debussy’s “Clair de Lune” from Suite Bergamasque, and Sousa’s “The Last Days of Pompeii.” Staff Sgt. Samuel Kaestner will appear as clarinet soloist in “Benny Goodman: Memories of You;” Sgt. First Class Laura Bradley will perform as vocal soloist in “I’ll Stand By You,” and in duet with Sgt.
