About the Dutch in the Hudson Valley

Goshen —Sophia Gruys Hinshalwood will give a presentation and slide show, “The Dutch in the Hudson Valley,” at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, at the 1841 Courthouse, 101 Main St., Goshen. Hinshalwood, an Otisville resident, was born on a farm near Chandler, Minnesota. She received a bachelor’s from Central College, Pella, Iowa, and earned her master’s in geography at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. She taught at Montclair State University for 30 years. All programs sponsored by the Orange County Historian are free and open to the public. Coffee will be served at 9:30 a.m.
