A taste of Israeli culinary
Monroe The Sisterhood at the Monroe-Woodbury Jewish Community Center will be hosting “Beyond Milk And Honey: An Evening for Singles and Couples.” The event will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, at Congregation Eitz Chaim at 473 County Route 105 in Monroe. Visitors will be able to learn about Israel’s culinary history, swap favorite Israeli recipes, and participate in vegetarian cooking demonstrations. They will also help cook a full-course authentic Israeli meal with Chef Elias Kushner, a Sullivan County culinary student. Reservations are required, and the cost is $15. Also, Congregation Eitz Chaim will be holding their annual Journal Dinner Dance, honoring Michael and Toby Schack, at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 11.
