‘We must be weary of how we use God’s word’

The Bible never ceases to amaze me with its wealth of information, moral guidance and the teaching it provides for everyday life. But we must be weary of how we use God’s word.

To the person who quoted Psalm 52, verses 1-7, I say this: Beware of loose biblical interpretations and how you present those interpretations.

2 Peter 3:16-17: “There are somethings in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.... Take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability.”

We get it, you hate President Trump by insinuating that he fits the narrative of Psalm 52:1-7.

Of course, you are entitled to your opinion, however wrong it might be.

But you were right in saying “Thank God for freedom of speech.” We are currently living in a world where our freedoms are quickly diminishing.

Finally, I suggest you use scripture for guidance and instruction and not to attempt to use its content to fit your narrative of hate. Let Satan do that; he is the father of lies. (John 8:44)

    Peace be with you.
