The draft review of the policies and procedures of the Warwick Police Department is now available on the town’s website

On the 12th of June Governor Cuomo issued Executive Order 203 as a direct result of the horrendous murder of George Floyd at the hands of police in Minnesota.

That EO required the Chief Executive of any municipality in NYS that had a police department to convene a panel of the head of the police agency and stakeholders in the community to conduct a review of the policies and procedures of the community’s department.

Those panel discussions took place late last year and can be viewed on the town of Warwick’s YouTube channel.

A draft plan (was) placed on the Town’s website (www.townofwarwick.org) on Wednesday, February 17th, for the public to review and comment.

The plan is a direct result of the panel discussions and the numerous pieces of correspondence received throughout the process.

All of this correspondence, comments during the live panel discussions and supporting documents will be included as an appendix to the plan.

Comments can be made via email to townhall@townofwarwick.org , by mail to 132 Kings Highway, Warwick, NY 10990 or live on Tuesday March 9 at 7 p.m. via a zoom public meeting at the following link:
