Revolutionary thanks

| 13 Jun 2019 | 03:12

The organizing committee of the recent Founders’ Day event at the John and Elizabeth Hathorn Homestead would like to thank our hosts Arek and Sylwia Kwapinski and all the more than 50 volunteers who came together to make it a wonderful day of celebrating our local Revolutionary War veterans and heritage.
More than 400 visitors enjoyed an interactive campus full of learning about 18th century life in the Town of Warwick.
We are grateful also to our sponsors and volunteer artisans:
• The 5th New York Regiment;
• The 42nd Royal Highland Regiment;
• The Warwick Historical Society;
• The Albert Wisner Public Library;
• The Minisink Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution;
• The Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area; and
> John Cox of Quercus Cooperage.
This event was a perfect example of people coming together to create a wonderful, free educational event for our community.
Huzzah!
