Student-Athlete of the Week

Warwick Valley High School is proud to recognize senior Shannon MacDougall as this week's Bill Garcia Allstate Student-Athlete of the Week.

Shannon is a three-season standout. She competes as a midfielder for the soccer team and sprinter for the indoor and outdoor track teams.

Shannon and the indoor track team are gearing up for the championship season that kicks off with the Division Championships on Friday, Jan. 31, at West Point.

She also is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society and the Sports Medicine Club.

Shannon is an outstanding student, maintaining a 97.3 cumulative grade point average. Her classes include Advanced Placement Courses for College Credit in Government, U.S. History, Biology, Literature, University Spanish I and II, OCCC Algebra and OCCC Calculus.

She will continue her education next fall at Marywood University in Scranton, Pa., as a nursing major and play soccer for the Pacers of the Atlantic East Conference.

Shannon is the daughter of Kathleen and Keith MacDougall of Chester. Her brother Bryan is a 2018 Warwick Valley graduate and sister Kaela is a freshman at Warwick Valley High School.
