Kaela MacDougall, Lily Bailey and Trinity Irizarry signed their National Letters of Intent (NLI) during a ceremony in the WVHS Media Center on Wednesday, April 19.

An NLI is a form completed to indicate a student’s commitment to play sports at NCAA colleges and universities.

These three join 15 other Wildcats who signed their letters earlier this year, in November, February and March. Students, faculty, administration, family, and friends once again packed the WVHS Media Center to celebrate the occasion, the students’ hard work and successes.

Kaela MacDougall

Kaela signed her NLI to play soccer for Muhlenberg College (Allentown, Pa.) of the NCAA Centennial Conference. Kaela was recruited by Mules head coach Dave Weitman and was also scouted by Drew University, Colby College and Russell Sage College.

Kaela plans to major in political science.

Kaela thanked her family — parents Kathy and Keith, sister Shannon (2020) and brother Bryan (2018) — for their support.

“...my parents for all the time and money they spent driving me to all my practices and games and for supporting me through it all. My siblings who have encouraged and guided me along the way, my coaches, teammates and friends who have helped me grow as a player and a person. And finally, thank you to Coach Chester for everything you’ve done for our program.”
